"The first time I rallied my book club to make Christmas cookies at my house, and the second time I rallied my playgroup (the moms) and rented a space to make Valentine cookies." What a wonderful email I received from Lisa, who with her amazing and generous friends hosted their second Drop In & Decorate® party earlier this month.
Lisa sent along these photos of the beautiful cookies they donated to The Road Home, a Utah agency providing food, clothing, shelter, support, and more permanent solutions to homelessness.
She also shared this: As we were delivering the cookies to the shelter, there was another woman bringing cookies, frosting and decors for the mothers who live in the shelter to decorate the cookies with their children. I thought it sounded like a really great activity and a fun twist on Drop In and Decorate -- actually hosting the party with the recipients! It would be an easy idea for someone who wanted to host a party but couldn't gather people to give their time. This way the hostess' friends and family could donate supplies and then she could facilitate the party with the residents.
Thank you, Lisa -- this is a great idea!

Thank you for inspiring me and for posting about our event! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again!
