Here's some delicious news that will have you licking your lips:
Immaculate Baking Co. is offering a wonderful prize to the host whose event decorates and donates the most cookies in the Coast-to-Coast Drop In & Decorate® Mothers' Day Celebration, May 1-10.
Immaculate Baking, which makes organic ready-to-bake cookie dough sold in grocery stores nationwide, has donated five coupons for FREE cookie dough -- that's 120 free cookies! -- as part of our prize package that also includes three large cookie cutters and a Drop In & Decorate™ reuseable canvas shopping bag.
The cookie dough -- totally organic, with no trans fats, high fructose corn syrup or other artificial ingredients -- comes in six flavors: Vanilla Sugar (the one we recommend if you're going to add icing for Drop In & Decorate donation); Triple Chocolate Chunk (irresistible -- ask me how I know); Cranberry Oatmeal White Chocolate; Peanut Butter; Chocolate Chunk; and Oatmeal Raisin.
Available at grocery stores and natural food stores nationwide, each package of Immaculate Baking Co. ready-to-bake dough makes 24 cookies. Pop them into the oven, and in 10 minutes, voila, you have a great snack. You don't have to make the whole package at once, either; just take out as many as you need, and refrigerate the rest of the dough to bake later.
Oh... did I mention that company founder Scott Blackwell established the Folk Artist's Foundation and more recently launched the Soul Food Fund™, and a portion of all sales goes toward developing the creative talents of individuals through exposure to the arts?
That's the icing on the cookie -- a company that makes a healthy and delicious product and believes in building community. We're thrilled to partner with them for our Coast-to-Coast Mothers' Day event.
So, how about organizing your own Drop In & Decorate® party some time during May 1-10? It's a great way to honor mothers everywhere, by getting together with your friends or family to decorate and donate cookies. (More information here.)
You might win the prize for donating the most cookies, and you'll definitely win the prize for most fun way to celebrate Mothers' Day!

Oooooh! It just dawned on me that I could host an event ANY time around mother's day! I thought it HAD to be on the 3rd, which is not particularly good for me! Well, shoot, I will have to see what I can cook up!

I tried the Vanilla Sugar ones yesterday. I had read this post and when I happened to see them in the grocery store figured I would try them. They are VERY good, but.... It has been a long time since I used a refridgerated cookie dough. Also, I was in a rush as I was doing a bunch of things so I just plopped them on the cookie sheet put in the oven and voila: my cookies sunk in the middle and were only about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I quickly realized if I rolled them out a little before baking I would get the cookie shape I was looking for! My little detour aside, these are a great cookie. They are firm, but soft inside... and even better topped with a little homemade frosting or sandwiched between some frosting! :)
