When life hands you a broken butterfly-shaped cookie, make a goldfish! That's just what Alison, a high school freshman, did this past weekend at a Drop In & Decorate® cookie decorating party.
Jan, who organized the event that donated 240 cookies to the Silicon Valley Support Network for Battered Women, shared the following:
When Alison heard that our work was part of a big cookie-baking team across America, she very quietly, slowly and thoughtfully said, as she realized how many people were involved in this effort, and about the many people for whom we were doing this, "Oh...WOW!"
It's a small thing, but it's something we can do to help someone, somewhere, somehow.
Jan has written about their event in more detail on her blog, so please click through to read her report.
Special thanks to Jan, Alison, Jo-Anne, Sara, Shayda, Aanchal and Kyle, who pooled their talent and compassion to decorate and donate cookies for Mothers' Day.

Great picture of all of the cookies!
