What if Drop In & Decorate earned a donation every time you searched the Internet?
Or, how about if a percentage of purchases you make online went to support our organization?
Well, now it can.
See the blue and yellow box at the top of this page, over there on the right?
GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, and watch the donations add up.
In June, I searched the Internet 114 times. That's $1.14 for Drop In & Decorate, without spending a penny. If 100 people used GoodSearch as much as I did last month, we could raise more than $1,200 in one year.
GoodShop.com, part of the same program, is a new online shopping mall that donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause. Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting our program. There are some nifty discount coupons on the site, too. I placed one order from Staples last month and earned $2.69 for Drop In & Decorate.
Imagine how much we could raise just by searching online, and buying things we're planning to buy anyway?
Here are a few ways you can help:
- Go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Drop In & Decorate as the charity you want to support.
- Place a badge (like the one on this site, or choose another that links to us) on your own web site.
- Send a note or forward the link to this post to your own mailing list and encourage your friends to use GoodSearch.com for Drop In & Decorate.
- If you use Firefox (Mac or PC) or Internet Explorer (IE 5 to 8), install GoodSearch in your toolbar and every search will earn a penny or more.
Thank you.

That is really cool!
