A lovely note and photos received from Susan, who hosted her first Drop In & Decorate® event in San Francisco:
I loved your idea of donating cookies to those in need of a smile, and hosted my first Drop in and Decorate event this weekend. We (adults and children) created 160 cookies (sugar and gingerbread) that are being donated to the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center. One of my guests even brought some cases of hot chocolate from Starbucks to donate to the cause.
I am enclosing a photo of some of our cookies, as unfortunately we spent more time frosting than photographing, and I didn’t get any really good ones of our guests. :-) I enjoyed seeing the designs everyone came up with when decorating; in fact two young boys in attendance were quite creative in their designs and even inspired some of the adults!
I mentioned Drop In & Decorate in our annual Christmas letter, as well as uploaded some photos to my Facebook account and everyone I’ve talked to thinks it’s such a wonderful idea! In fact, one of my friends who works at the City of Saratoga thinks it could be a perfect activity for their senior program. It's fun to see a great idea blossom.
Thank you again for the wonderful idea, and happy decorating!
Thank you, Susan. Your ginger cookies rock (we love the pretzel antlers), and I'm sure the agency was thrilled to receive them.

Love the pretzel antlers, so creative!
