Alyce is a piano teacher and food blogger in Colorado Springs, Colorado. For her first Drop In & Decorate® event, she invited her students and parents or spouses to her house for some cookie decorating and an informal piano recital. She shared this report:
There were three kinds of cookies, all made ahead: sugar, chocolate and gingerbread. Budding bakers chose from several types of icing and sprinkles, as well as crushed peppermint, grated chocolate and nuts.
People came and went, decorating a few cookies and then relaxing with a bowl of soup for dinner while listening to students performing informally. The cookies were donated to The Bridge, an assisted living center.
What a merry, merry Christmas activity for all ages.
