Missouri church youth group hosts second Drop In & Decorate event

Last year Andrea, the youth minister at a Jefferson City, Missouri, church, organized a Drop In & Decorate to benefit local nursing homes. This year, her youth group decorated more than 400 cookies and donated them to three nursing homes and the local senior center.

Andrea wrote:

"We actually ran out of cookies before our event finished.... around 400 cookies. They were delivered to St Joseph's home, Oak Tree, JC Manor, Clarke's Senior Center....

When we talked about where we were taking the cookies, one little girl decided to take some of her cookies to the elderly woman down from where she lived. I loved seeing the processing going on, connecting her with someone she could share love with, in what she was doing... making cookies."
