This note came in from Mary, who hosted her first Drop In & Decorate® event in New Hampshire:
A few weeks ago, during a pretty bad storm here in New Hampshire, we got together with another family and decorated several dozen cookies for our local assisted living community.
A couple of days later, we met with two families (one couldn't make it because of the storm but they made and decorated cookies on their own for sharing!) and delivered the cookies to the residents of Fox Den Retirement Community. It was a wonderful experience and many of the residents and staff asked us to "come back soon" which we intend on doing.
We are hoping/planning to do MANY more Drop In & Decorate parties ~ for Valentine's Day, Easter, etc. ~ and once the New Year is upon us, we are going to be setting up a monthly (or so) trip to Fox Den to visit with the residents and share our children with them, as well as glean from their years of wisdom too. Thank you SO much for the opportunity to be a part of this. It was something that we and our children will never forget!
Mary, thanks so much to you and your intrepid friends. Like true New Englanders, you didn't let the weather get you down!
