Lisa, a math teacher at Westmont Junior High School in Westmont, Illinois, sent this report and photos from the Early Act club's first Drop In & Decorate® event last week:
Fourteen members of the Westmont Jr. High Rotary Early Act club became covered in icing while decorating cookies to be donated to the children and families staying at Ronald McDonald House at Loyola.
Lisa Arndt, a caring Westmont parent, donated 100 sugar cookies
to be decorated. She guided the club members through the steps of
decorating like a professional. The members were then set free to
decorate 8-10 cookies on their own.
The next morning, the cookies were boxed up to be ready for transport to Ronald McDonald House. Seventh grader Tim noted, "It was more complicated than you thought it would be!" Club secretary Imogene stated, "I think the kids [at RMH] will enjoy eating our decorative and delicious cookies!"
We think so, too! Thanks to Lisa and the bakers and members of Early Act -- you are rock stars!

COOL! Another Illinoisan!
