One of our favorite blogs, Dollar Philanthropy, trumpets the difference we can make by combining our small actions into large impact. Carol Kirshner, who works with nonprofits in her professional and volunteer lives, publishes the blog and shares our commitment to working in our own communities to make the world a better place.
Carol writes,
"Dollar Philanthropy is an effort to inspire individuals who will are searching for affordable ways to make a difference in the world. Whether it be giving a dollar a week to a reputable organization, getting your friends and colleagues together for a service project or food drive or being a blessed benefactor to a person in need, it is the act of giving of yourself that transforms both you and the world around you.
"A dollar doesn't seem like much and that is precisely the point. However, when combined, each of our individual dollars and single efforts can make a huge difference to a small to medium sized nonprofit that is seeking to serve a need and improve the community around them."
We're so pleased that Dollar Philanthropy is featuring the first of two posts about Drop In & Decorate. Part Two will focus on workplace philanthropy.
If you have a moment, please stop by and acquaint yourself with this wonderful blog. It's full of great ideas for ways we can all make a difference in our own communities.

We're getting lots of traffic from Drop In and Decorate enthusiasts. I hope you will make cookies and give a smile to someone who needs it.
I also hope you will trust me when I tell you that even the smallest amount of good let loose on the world is NEVER wasted!
