Kathie hosted her first Drop In & Decorate® event to benefit Feed the Need in Durham, a food bank in Oshawa, just east of Toronto, Canada. She shared this report and photos:
Well, our first Drop In & Decorate was a huge success. Our group of ladies (I'm the one in blue wearing an apron) pulled together just shy of 150 large cookies, weighing in at 27 pounds of cookies. They went to Feed the Need in Durham, which is a distribution hub that supplies all the shelters in our area.
We really enjoyed making the cookies. It felt great to be able to provide the shelters with homemade items to cheer up the kids in our area.
Thanks for a great inspirational program and for the packet you sent to help us. We will do it again!! Everyone wants to grow it for next year and they are spreading the word.
