Kathie's first Drop In & Decorate® brought together lots of friends and kids, and she shared photos of their party and the delivery to Hope of the Valley, serving the homeless in Sun Valley, California:
Our party was a HUGE success! We hosted it as a Holiday Open House and over 50 friends dropped in to decorate! People even brought blank sugar cookies to donate and decorate.
We decorated 470 cookies!!!
After sorting through them, my 16-year old daughter bagged them into 2 or 3 cookies per bag (depending on size) & my 6-year old daughter put labels on the bags.
Along with a couple of my teenager's friends, we served lunch and delivered the cookies to a homeless shelter, Hope of the Valley.
We distributed close to 200 bags of cookies.
You should have seen their faces light up, as they asked, "Are those homemade Christmas cookies?" My 6-year old made sure to give the children extra cookies!!
It was such a wonderful experience for all of us!!
