Whatever your interest or special skills, and no matter how much or how limited your available time, we'd love to have your help.
Current needs and projects (updated 5/8/10):
- Drop In & Decorate will be the featured nonprofit at the Social Luxe Lounge party in New York City on Thursday, August 5, 2010, preceding the BlogHer '10 women's blogging conference. We need someone to coordinate our activity at the event. This is a great party every year, and perfect for someone in the New York area. Small stipend available.
- YARD SALE! Do you love yard sales? We're hosting our first yard sale of cookware, cookbooks and other cool stuff, on Saturday, July 24 (rain date July 25), in Foster, Rhode Island. It's the weekend of Foster Old Home Days, which brings lots of people to town, and our location is right on the road to the fair. We need:
- Donations of cookware, tableware, baking stuff, cookbooks, etc.
- Volunteers to help at the sale.
- Event planning. We're already working on a large-scale open-to-the-public event in Providence, Rhode Island, in January 2011, modeled on the event we held at Rhode Island School of Design this past January. Want to help?
- Product donations. Help secure donations and discounts from cookie decorating suppliers. We're looking for plastic squeeze bottles (for food), baking sheets, Silpats, cookie cutters, wrapping materials, food-safe cellophane bags, Avery labels.
